To secure an ability in pupils to assess, evaluate and empathise based upon a range of source material, stimuli and through study of the human experience. Pupils have an understanding of place, history, technology and belief. They recognise that others may have different beliefs, attitudes and approaches.
The Explore Learning Zone is housed in a two-storey corridor in the Woodlands area of the school. There are 14 classrooms, all of which are equipped with interactive whiteboards and visualisers. One of the classrooms on the second floor has a number of computers for students to use in their Humanities subjects. There are 4 dedicated ICT classrooms, which have access to computers and also whiteboards and visualisers.
We have a number of resources available to support the delivery of the Humanities subjects, such as dictionaries, DVDs, textbooks and computer software.
