Sensory Room Opening

Wednesday saw the official opening of the Sensory room. Thank you to our VIP guest, the CEO of the Trust, David Naisbitt for coming along to say a few words. The room has been developed from the vision of the ARC team and the support of the site team, to create a really relaxing therapeutic space for pupils (and staff if needed) to take time to reset. Increasingly, young people are experiencing periods when they are struggling to cope with the demands of the school day, but also, life in general. At Oakwood, we have a caring and nurturing culture which, in turn, builds confidence and increases resilience. The Sensory room will certainly support, if not enhance this work.
