    Christmas Lights Display

    Christmas Lights Display »

We have a beautiful light and snowflake display in our main Atrium to celebrate the Christmas Season.

Pupils and staff have donated money to buy an acrylic snowflake and dedicate it to a loved one. The snowflakes have been attached to a large set of lights and appear as though they are floating.

Money raised from the sale of the snowflakes is going to Rotherham Hospice.

Thank you to everyone who has donated.

    Christmas Shoe box appeal »

Miss Liversidge is leading the shoe box appeal again at school for Shiloh (a charity based in Rotherham), and is calling out for any donations you might want to spare for someone less fortunate this year. The school have done this for the past two years and you really don't understand how well received these gifts are and how grateful Shiloh's guests are!

If you'd like to donate, you could gift any of the following:

    - toothpaste/toothbrush/mouthwash
    - shampoo/conditioner
    - shower gel/soap/sponge
    - deodorant/body spray
    - torch
    - waterproof poncho
    - gloves/scarf/hat
    - brush/comb
    - note pad/pen
    - biscuits
    - tinned items
    - chocolate
    - bottled water
    - selection boxes
    - deodorant gift sets

And much more... Any donated items can be dropped off at the school reception.

This could be your final act of kindness for 2018 💜

    The half term icy blast

At the end of an eight week half term we can all (staff and pupils) just about muster enough energy to say thank you. Many of us will want to thank our pupils or our teachers and our friends and colleagues for the work undertaken this half term. We will want to say thank you for the support that we have given each other and the progress we have individually and collectively made. We can all go into the half term break knowing that it’s been a job well done. Can I just say thank you too. Thank you for your commitment to Oakwood High School throughout this long half term.
