Admissions Policy

For pupils starting year 7 at Oakwood High School from September 2019 (transition in June 2019), Parents/Carers of Year 6 pupils will receive a letter and common application form from their primary school in early July 2018. Parents must complete the Common Application Form and it should be returned to the Local Authority by 30 November 2018. Behaviour Policy

The Behaviour Policy at Oakwood High School is a statement of good practice that covers all aspects of the school that contribute to the development and maintenance of good behaviour and a positive ethos. This Policy should be read in conjunction with the Home School Partnership agreement. All members of the school are expected to help maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning, with courtesy and mutual respect as basic requirements. Click here to view the full Behaviour Policy.

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

The Trust (which includes Oakwood High School, Sitwell Junior School and Thomas Rotherham College) has updated our working practices and relevant policies to comply with our duties under the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), May 2018.

Inspire Trust holds the legal right to collect and use personal data relating to pupils and their families. We collect and use personal data in order to meet legal requirements and legitimate interests set out in the GDPR. As part of these changes we have updated our Privacy Notice and issued this to all of our parents and pupils. The Privacy Notice outlines the types of data we keep, what we use it for, where we store it, who we share it with and your rights in respect of this data. Parents and Pupils are asked to read this.

Home School Agreement

This document is about your rights as an Oakwood High School pupil, the rights of other pupils of the School and about your parents’ support for your education at Oakwood. This document sits alongside the ICT Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) signed by parents and pupils.  We ask that pupils and parents read it carefully. If you have any queries about the Home School Agreement or wish to discuss it further please contact your child’s Personal Learning Tutor.

Uniform Policy

Oakwood High School is a school proud to wear its uniform. All pupils attending the school will be required to wear the uniform at all times. There will be no exceptions; there will be no excuses.
