Solving Equations

How to solve equations:
First, write down the expression:
2a + 3 = 7.
Then, undo the + 3 by subtracting 3. Remember, you need to do it to BOTH sides!
2a + 3 - 3 = 7 - 3,
so 2a = 4.
Undo the multiply by 2 by dividing by 2, again on both sides
2a ÷ 2 = 4 ÷ 2.

Science Edition

To make it easier for you we decided to do one week Maths and one week science so you can get the fun education you need :) So if we were looking at atoms, atoms would be made up of neutrons protons and electrons. Protons have a plus symbol inside to show that they have kinetic energy but we'll get on to that later on, neutrons and electrons don't have much kinetic energy if any at all.
