Welcome to Oakwood High School: Pride in Our Uniform

At Oakwood High School, we are immensely proud of our school community, and our uniform is a key reflection of that shared pride. It acts as a symbol of belonging, equity, and high standards, preparing our students for a focused and professional learning environment.

We hold the highest expectations for student appearance. All students attending Oakwood High School are required to wear the correct uniform at all times —there are no exceptions and no excuses. We strongly encourage every student to take personal responsibility and genuine pride in their own appearance as they represent themselves and our school both inside and outside the classroom.

Maintaining Our High Standards

To ensure a consistent and distraction-free environment, please take note of our key expectations:

  • Daily Uniform: Students must wear either a plain black blazer or a grey V-neck jumper featuring the Oakwood High School crest inside the school building. Shirts must be plain white, collared, and kept fully tucked in with the top button fastened at all times.

  • Footwear: Footwear must consist of sensible, serviceable, all-black shoes or trainers. Please note that boots (any footwear extending above the ankle bone), high heels, and items with prominent logos or metallic decorations are strictly prohibited.

  • Accessories & Jewellery: Only minimal jewellery is permitted (one set of plain stud earrings and one nose stud). No hoodies or non-school jumpers are allowed on site.

We highly appreciate the continuous support of our parents and carers in helping us uphold these exceptional standards. We ask parents and carers to support our uniform policy by ensuring that students arrive each day dressed appropriately and in full uniform. This not only reinforces the high standards we set at Oakwood, but also prepares our young people for the expectations of the wider world, including future education and employment. For a complete, step-by-step breakdown of acceptable everyday garments, PE kits , and year-specific tie allocations, please download the full Oakwood High School Uniform Policy via the link adjacent.
